A useful distinction
A saved recipe can lose its source when copied into a note application without a title or link. Later edits may then be mistaken for the author’s method. A small index preserves the relationship between original instructions and your own experiments.
Put it into practice
Save the source title, direct link, date accessed and any stated version. Add adaptations as separate dated notes. Keep handling instructions and relevant package information with the recipe, so an abbreviated shopping list does not become the only record of a more detailed method.
