Home Cooking and Restaurant Cooking

Two settings can organise the same idea differently.

A useful distinction

A home kitchen and a restaurant have different equipment, scale and routines. A dish described in one setting cannot automatically be reproduced by transferring every step unchanged to the other. The context matters as much as a short list of ingredients.

Put it into practice

When reading an account, identify the setting before adapting anything. Use an appropriate tested home recipe for practical cooking. In your notes, describe the adaptation as your own version rather than claiming to recreate a restaurant dish or someone else’s family practice exactly.
