A useful distinction
Doubling quantities does not automatically mean every pan, mixing step or cooking time remains appropriate. A larger batch can change the practical work and storage task. The original recipe’s tested scale is useful context for the decision.
Put it into practice
Check whether the author provides scaling instructions and choose equipment suited to the actual quantity. Keep food-handling requirements in the plan. If the scaled method is uncertain, use a recipe developed for the intended yield rather than improvising around an overloaded pan.
